Residents Of Vault 88 – Subject 15/16 – John Vincent

Just when I started to think that everyone in Vault 88 was mad from the isolation, one individual showed signs of being a bit more “there”, albeit in a more clandestine way.

Meet John Vincent.

Name: John Vincent

Occupation: Server-admin / IT / Tech support

John: Who are you, and what are you doing in here? This is a restricted area.

RR: I was let in by Alastair, the big armored fella.

John: Why did that big dummy –

RR: You look a lot like Bill, the guy up in hydroponics. You related?

John: You think I look alike another black guy in the vault and we’re automatically brothers, huh?

(Awkward pause)

John: Naw, I’m just yankin’ your chain. We’re identical twins. No doubt who’s the coolest one, huh? The one with the computers and awesome shades, of course.

RR: (Nervous laughter) Ah, he he. Good one. So, um – what do you do around here?

John: Everything IT-related. Making things go ‘round. Keeping some stuff unseen.

RR: What do you mean by that last part?

John: I’ve said too much. Where do you publish these things?

RR: Wherever I can really.

John: By the way, the server logs says someone opened the door via a computer in the quarantine area. You wouldn’t happen to know anything about that?

RR: Not a clue.

John: Riiight. That reminds me. The Overseer wanted to see you.

RR: For an interview?

John: Something like that.

It’s not easy to tell the crazies from the calculable sociopaths. Look at John and his brother, Bill, for instance. Identical twins, entirely different personalities.

Next up, the Overseer herself.
